“During a doom scroll on my phone, I had to snap myself out of it. When I put the phone down, the sentence 'This ain't your timeline, this is your lifetime' popped into my head. And I started working on putting music to the idea. ‘Lifetime’ reflects on the chaos and disconnection in the modern world, from global tensions to personal struggles.
The song touches on themes of spiritual awareness, unity, and the quest for inner peace in a world full of digital distractions.” - Goldkimono
“You know those days when life feels like it's running on cruise control, and then suddenly - BAM!! - You're dodging curveballs left and right? When the norm mixes with the feeling of not being able to escape your digital counterpart world. That's what inspired this piece. I wanted to show that feeling through Goldkimono's digital character and this virtual playground we created.
I used CGI to create this blend of old-school and modern digital vibes, aiming to capture something familiar yet fresh. Like if your old Nintendo had a fever dream after eating expired WiFi signals :)” - Cal Bain
